Consultation Visit to Prague

Between 24 May and 31 May 2026, as part of the implementation of the National Science Centre grant “MINIATURA 9,” I undertook a seven‑day consultation visit to the Centre for Research Ukraine in a Changing Europe at the IMS – Institut mezinárodních studií of Charles University in Prague. The purpose of the visit was to discuss and verify the main findings of the project “Born of Shocks: The Catharsis of Ukrainian Art in the Content of Cultural Media (2022–2025)”  which focuses on the transformative processes taking place in contemporary Ukrainian art as presented to audiences through various forms of digital communication.

During my stay, I presented the digital archive “Born of Shocks” as a research tool for studying the digital memory of the war from the perspective of postcolonial studies and discussed with the Prague research team the most significant results of the analyses conducted to date.

As part of a scientific seminar, I delivered a paper in English entitled Digital Archive “Born of Shocks”: Network Culture Texts on the Catharsis of Ukrainian Art in the Content of Cultural Media (2022–2025), outlining the project’s objectives and the structure of the archive under development.

The visit was planned and financed within the budget of the NCN grant. The consultations in Prague constitute an important stage in the further development of the project and in strengthening cooperation between the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Prague research centre dedicated to studies on Ukraine.
