Conference “XXV Dialogue of Two Cultures”

Participation in the conference “XXV Dialogue of Two Cultures”, held on 8–13 September 2025 (Lublin – Nałęczów – Puławy – Sulejówek – Warsaw – Żelazowa Wola – Warsaw – Lublin).

A paper entitled “Polish-Ukrainian Cultural Dialogue in the Context of the Conflictogenic Nature of the Catharsis of Ukrainian Art in the Instagram Content of Ukrainian Cultural Media (2022–2025)” was presented. (Interdisciplinary conference: “Neighbours of Poland and Ukraine. Shared Cultural Heritage”.)

The presentation analysed the Instagram content of Ukrainian cultural media from the years 2022–2025 (including @yourart, @liroomcom.ua, @moviegram.ua, @chytomo_books, @post.impreza, @sensormedia.ua) in order to identify the themes, forms, features, functions and underlying nature of the Polish–Ukrainian cultural dialogue as visualised in the Instagram communication of these Ukrainian cultural platforms.

Particular emphasis was placed on the visualisation and articulation within network culture of the phenomenon of catharsis in Ukrainian art (purification, renewal, revival), through its specific means and tools of visualisation, as well as on the role of the Polish-Ukrainian cultural dialogue in this process.
The analysis employed media analysis, aspectual analysis and iconographic analysis.

The presentation formulated general conclusions concerning the possibilities of visualisation on Instagram and its rapid accessibility within the media space; the visualisation of abstract concepts and categories in Instagram content; the conflictogenic nature of media‑culture texts reflecting the course of the Polish–Ukrainian cultural dialogue; and the processes of renewal and revival in Ukrainian art in the years 2022–2025, which themselves exhibit a conflictogenic character.
